Privacy policy

Last updated: 21 October 2026

Short version: the website collects no data from anyone who just reads it; if you create an account we keep your email, your licences and your referrals, and nothing else; the app sends no personal data, and payment is handled by Lemon Squeezy, who holds your billing details. The long version follows.

Who is responsible

Abel Antonino Juberías, tax ID 46076798E, with address for notifications at Calle Diagonal 6, 46520 Sagunto (Valencia). Contact: hola@worldlaps.com.

The website (worldlaps.com)

  • It stores in your browser, if you change them, your preferences (the language, light or dark mode and your cookie choice) and, if you arrive through a referral link, that link’s code for 30 days so the discount is applied at checkout. They never leave your browser.
  • Your account session cookie is created only when you sign in to “My account” (see below). It is a technical cookie required for the service and needs no consent.
  • Analytics, only if you accept it (see “Cookies” below). No social media pixels and no advertising.
  • The only form is the waitlist one (see below). The contact link opens your own email program.
  • The server that serves the pages keeps, like any web server, a technical access log (IP address, page requested, date and time, browser) for at most 30 days, solely to detect abuse and failures. Legal basis: legitimate interest in the security of the service. Logs are deleted automatically and never cross-referenced with anything.
  • The buy button opens the Lemon Squeezy checkout in a window over the page. Its code is loaded only when you approach the button, not when the site opens. From then on the processing is done by Lemon Squeezy (see below).

Buying

Worldlaps is sold through Lemon Squeezy, LLC (Lemon Squeezy acts as merchant of record). When you buy:

  • Lemon Squeezy collects your email, country and payment details to charge you, apply the right VAT, issue the invoice and send you the licence key. It processes them as a controller under its privacy policy. We never see or store your card.
  • We receive, through the Lemon Squeezy dashboard, the order details (email, country, amount, key issued) and use them solely to support you, handle refunds and meet tax obligations. Legal basis: performance of the contract and legal obligation. They are kept for as long as tax law requires (4 years).
  • The customer portal where you see your purchases, invoices and activated computers belongs to Lemon Squeezy. You enter with a link sent to your email; there is no password to keep.

We send no marketing emails. The only emails you receive are those of the purchase itself (receipt, key, invoice) and those you start.

Your account (optional)

You can use Worldlaps without an account. If you sign in to “My account” to manage your licence or referrals:

  • We keep your email address, the sign-up date, a referral code and your open sessions. You sign in with a link sent to your email; there is no password. Legal basis: performance of the contract (managing your licence) and your request.
  • We show the licences and activated computers linked to your email. That data comes from Lemon Squeezy and we keep it to show it to you and let you release a computer from the website.
  • If you take part in the referral programme, we keep which purchases were made through your link (date, amount, status and the buyer’s email, shown to you only masked) and the rewards generated. Whoever buys through your link sees no data of yours.
  • You can delete the account from Settings: the email, sessions and referral data are removed. Order records are kept anonymised for as long as tax law requires.
  • Account data is stored on our server, in the European Union, and shared with nobody except Lemon Squeezy to manage licences.

Cookies

When you arrive, the site asks whether you accept analytics cookies. If you don’t, nothing from Google is loaded and the site works the same. If you do, Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) is loaded to count visits, see which pages and countries people come from, which sections they look at and how many join the waitlist. It is not used for advertising nor combined with other Google data, and the IP address is processed anonymised.

Legal basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time with the “Cookies” link in the footer. Google may process the data in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; Analytics data is kept for 14 months.

The waiting list

If you join the waiting list before the launch, we keep your email address, the language of the website and the date you joined, on the same server in the European Union as the accounts. We use it to send you the confirmation with your number on the list, a single notice on the day Worldlaps can be downloaded and, if you are among the first, to send you your free licence. The legal basis is your consent, given when you send the form. We share it with no one and never use it for advertising. We delete the list six months after the launch, and earlier if you ask us at hola@worldlaps.com.

The app

  • When activating the key, the app sends the licensing platform the key and a computer name (one you choose or your PC’s name). Nothing else: not your email, not your location, not the areas you generate. That check is repeated every 30 days.
  • To generate a track, the app downloads third-party open data from your PC (OpenStreetMap, Spain’s Instituto Geográfico Nacional, ESA, Copernicus, USGS). Those servers see your connection’s IP address, as when you visit any website. Downloads are cached on your disk so they are not repeated.
  • The app has no telemetry and no automatic crash reports. If something fails and you want help, you are the one who writes to us and decides what to attach.
  • The tracks you generate stay on your computer. They are not uploaded anywhere.

If you write to us

We keep your email and what you tell us for as long as needed to help you and, if it is a support or refund case, for the duration of the commercial relationship. Legal basis: your request (performance of the contract or legitimate interest in replying).

Your rights

You can ask us for access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or objection by writing to hola@worldlaps.com. We reply within one month. If you think we have not handled it properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es) or to your local authority. For data processed by Lemon Squeezy as a controller, contact them; we will help if needed.

International transfers

Lemon Squeezy is based in the United States. Transfers rely on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, as stated in its policy. Our web server is located in the European Union.

Changes

If any of the above changes we update it here, with the date at the bottom. We make no retroactive changes.
