Make your Assetto Corsa track in three steps

  1. Draw the area

Search for your town, your home road or the pass you cycle up, and mark the area. The app tells you how many streets and buildings are inside.

The Worldlaps app: a 1 km² square drawn over the village of Serra on the map, with a count of 178 streets and 714 buildings.
  2. Worldlaps builds the track

It downloads roads from OpenStreetMap, terrain and aerial imagery from the Spanish mapping agency, and raises tarmac, pavements, buildings, vegetation and road markings. On your PC, no queues.

3D preview in the app: the terrain of Serra with the aerial imagery, the streets and the building volumes.
  3. It shows up in your Assetto Corsa

One button installs it into your tracks folder. Open it from the game or from Content Manager, like any other track.

The track loaded in Assetto Corsa: the car waiting at the start under the SALIDA gantry, with the road heading into the bend.

It feels like the real road

Bends, climbs, villages and bridges exactly as they are. You get out of the car and you know where you are.

The A-1512 road at the entrance to Albarracín generated by Worldlaps, at bumper height: the broken line turning solid before the bend, the guard rail above the river gorge, a red car coming out of the bend and the town with its walls and castle behind.

The lines are where they should be

Solid where you cannot see, warning arrows before every blind bend, walls where the village hangs off the hillside. Just like driving there for real.

A street in Albarracín generated by Worldlaps at pedestrian height: the zebra crossing in the foreground, the pavement with shops and signs on the right, parked cars on the left and the town stepping up the hillside behind.

Streets with pavements, crossings and parking

Everything at real size. A parking bay is a parking bay, and a zebra crossing takes two strides.

Inside the A-1512 tunnel at Albarracín generated by Worldlaps: the walls lit by the ceiling lamps, the centre line leading to the mouth and the sunlit street beyond, with a car driving out.

Real bridges, tunnels and junctions

You go over, under and through just like on the real road, with the ramps and the tunnel portals.

View over the red bonnet on the Oberalp pass road in Switzerland, generated by Worldlaps: the road bends along the Urseren valley between grassy slopes, with the guard rail on the right.

What you see on the map is what you drive

Pick your area, press generate, and in a few minutes you are doing the first lap.

From a stretch of road to a whole island

Times and sizes measured on the author's PC. A town and its mountain pass runs fine on any PC that already runs the game.

  • Aerial view of the CV-310 stage in Serra: the road winds along the hillside between pine trees with the village above. A stretch of road 1.3 km²
  • Aerial view of the motorway exit: the junction with its bridges, the railway line and the orange groves around it. A motorway exit 4.5 km²
  • Aerial view of the village of Serra among pine woods, with the Garbí road climbing into the hills. A town and its mountain pass 5.9 km²
  • The whole of generated Formentera seen from high above: the shape of the island, the Estany Pudent lagoon and the sea around it. The whole of Formentera 120.4 km²

The free version generates up to 1 km², about a neighbourhood. The full version has no limit.

1.3 km² 4.5 km² 5.9 km²
The whole of Formentera: 15.5 million triangles and a steady 120 fps in-game, measured by the author on his PC. Squares to scale: the side is proportional to the square root of the surface.

Try it for free with your own street. Pay once if you want more.

The free version is limited by surface area; the full version removes the limit and is paid once.

What people usually ask

Guide: make an Assetto Corsa track →

About the tracks

Do I need the original Assetto Corsa?

Yes. Worldlaps generates tracks for the Steam version of Assetto Corsa (the 2014 game, not Competizione or EVO) and installs them into your tracks folder. Without the game there is nowhere to drive them.

Does it work with Content Manager and CSP?

Yes. The tracks are ordinary track folders: they show up in the stock launcher and in Content Manager. They include a configuration for Custom Shaders Patch, used if you have it; if not, the track works all the same.

How do I make an Assetto Corsa track from a real road?

Open Worldlaps, search for the place, draw the area on the map (or click the roads of your stage) and press generate. The app downloads the roads, the terrain and the aerial photo, builds the track and installs it in your Assetto Corsa. No modelling or modding tools needed.

Is it a mod? Do I need anything else?

What you get is an ordinary track mod, a folder in content/tracks like any community track. Nothing else is needed: Content Manager and CSP are optional, and used if you have them.

Can I make rally stages, touge runs or drift spots?

Yes. In stage mode you pick the roads in order and the side exits are closed, with start and finish gantries and timing. It works for mountain passes, dirt roads (with ruts) and industrial estates for drifting.

Can I recreate a real race circuit?

If the circuit is in OpenStreetMap, yes: the track is recognised and its pit lane with garages, the painted grid and finish line, the tyre walls and the fences are built. You can also design a new circuit on the real terrain.

Is it legal? Can I race the tracks online?

Yes. All data is open (OpenStreetMap, IGN, Copernicus and each country's official services) and its licences allow this use with attribution, which is included in the track. Tracks are ordinary mods: race them alone or on a server, as long as the other drivers have the same track. Worldlaps is not affiliated with Kunos.

What PC do I need?

64-bit Windows 10 or 11 and Steam Assetto Corsa. For generating, more memory is better: areas of a few km² are fine with 16 GB, and large maps (an island, a city) want more. The app measures your computer and tells you how long it will take before it starts.

How long does it take to generate a track?

It depends on the surface area and on your PC. Measured on the author's machine: a 1.3 km² stretch of road in under two minutes; a town and its mountain pass, 5.9 km², in about six minutes; the whole of Formentera, 120 km², in 2 h 44 min.

How big is a track?

Between 180 and 400 MB for areas of 1 to 6 km². The whole of Formentera is 2.1 GB. Most of it is the aerial imagery and the geometry of buildings and vegetation.

Can I generate my whole city?

It depends on its size and on your machine. 120 km² (Formentera) have been generated and run at 120 fps in-game, but a capital city with tens of thousands of buildings needs a lot of memory to generate and to load. Start with your neighbourhood or your district, and grow from there.

Does it work outside Spain?

Yes. Roads and buildings come from OpenStreetMap, which covers the whole world. In Spain, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, South Tyrol and several German states the official aerial photo and terrain of each country are used, at the same quality as in Spain; elsewhere, Copernicus or USGS terrain and lower-resolution imagery, so the ground looks less sharp.

Can I share a track I generate?

Yes, with two conditions. Keep the open-data attributions that ship inside the folder (OpenStreetMap, IGN, ESA, Copernicus); their licences require it. And if you chose to fill the car parks with the cars from your own Assetto Corsa, that track contains Kunos models and you must not redistribute it: use the default option, with free (CC0) models, for tracks you intend to share.

Can I edit the track in Blender?

Yes. Next to the track, the scene is saved as FBX with the object names Assetto Corsa expects, so you can open it in Blender or in the SDK editor and keep working on it.

About buying

Do I need to sign up?

No. You buy, receive the key by email and paste it into the app once. Optionally, in "My account" you sign in with a link sent to your email (no password) to see your key, release an activated computer and manage your referral link. Invoices live in the Lemon Squeezy customer portal.

On how many computers can I use it?

The key allows 3 computers activated at the same time.

Can I move to another computer?

Yes. Deactivate the old computer from Settings in the app or from the customer portal, and activate the key on the new one. If the old one no longer exists (it broke, you wiped it), release it from the portal.

What if I lose my key?

Open the customer portal with the email you bought with and it is there. If you no longer have access to that email either, write to us.

Do I need internet to use it?

To generate, yes, because the data for the area is downloaded at that moment (and cached). The licence is checked every 30 days with 30 more days of grace: if you lose your connection, the app warns you, it does not lock. And if the licensing service is down, the app keeps working.

Can I get a refund?

Yes: 14 days from purchase, no questions asked, by writing to the contact email or from the customer portal. Before paying you can try exactly the same program in free mode, so you know what you are buying. Details are in the refund policy.

How does the referral programme work?

In "My account" you get your own link. Whoever buys through it gets 10 % off and, every 3 valid purchases, you receive by email a code for a 100 % licence, to use or give away. Refunds do not count.

What data do you send?

The website collects nothing from anyone who just reads it: no tracking cookies, no third-party analytics; the only cookie is the session one if you sign in to your account. The app only sends your key and a computer name to the licensing platform when activating, and nothing else: not your email, not your tracks, not your location. Billing data is held by Lemon Squeezy, who charges you.
