Worldlaps in 50 words
Worldlaps turns any real place into an Assetto Corsa track. Mark an area on the map (your hometown, a mountain pass, a rally stage) and it gives you the roads, buildings, terrain and aerial imagery, with the AI line and the cameras, and installs the track in the game in one click. For Windows.
Worldlaps in 150 words
Worldlaps is a track generator for Assetto Corsa, the 2014 driving simulator on Steam. Instead of spending weeks modelling a road in Blender, you mark an area on a real-world map, or click the roads of a stage in order, and Worldlaps delivers the whole track, made with open data (OpenStreetMap and each country's official maps): roads at their width, buildings, terrain, aerial imagery, pavements, zebra crossings, road markings, vegetation, bridges and tunnels, plus what a hand-made track has to set up by hand: physical surfaces, the AI line, TV cameras, the map, grid slots and pit boxes. It has five modes: free roam, rally stage, circuit on real streets, designed circuit and circuit editor. Everything runs on the user's PC. The free version generates areas up to 1 km²; the full version has no limit.
