Make a rally stage in Assetto Corsa from any real road
Worldlaps turns any real road into an Assetto Corsa rally stage: you click the roads on the map in the order you want to drive them, and you get the stage with a start gantry, a finish, point-to-point timing and every side road closed off. It works on tarmac and on gravel tracks, and installs like any other track.

How stage mode works
When you open the app, pick the "Rally stage" map type. In this mode you do not draw an area: you zoom in and click the roads you want to drive, one after another. The order of the clicks is the route. The first road is driven up to the junction with the second, the second up to the junction with the third, and so on to the last one.
As you pick, the selector draws the stage live, with the start in green and the finish in red, and fades out everything you will not drive. If you miss a piece between two consecutive roads, the app completes the route; if there is no way to join them, it tells you.
What the app adds to the stage
- Start and finish gantries, lattice trusses with a printed banner, where the route you chose begins and ends.
- Point-to-point timing: the clock starts at the start gantry and stops at the finish, with a split halfway, laid out like an Assetto Corsa hillclimb.
- Closed side roads, with road-closed barriers placed off the stage's carriageway so they never get in the way.
- Rally dressing outside villages: arrows on the bends, hay bales, spectator tape and marshals, and a service tent. No parked cars on the route.
- AI line (
fast_lane.ai) and TV cameras, generated automatically.
Tarmac, gravel and dirt roads
Paved roads come with their markings, shoulders, guard rails and walls. The centre line is solid where there is no sight distance to overtake and broken where there is. Just like on the real road, the paint tells you when a blind bend is coming.
Unpaved roads come out as dirt and gravel tracks, with ruts and physics of their own: less grip and a light vibration, without artificial bouncing. No shoulder or ditch, like a real forest track.
Stages already generated
Free download: the four stages of the 2026 Rallye Ciudad de Valencia (Buñol, Gestalgar, Dos Aguas and Los Herreros) are in Rallye Ciudad de Valencia stages for Assetto Corsa.
These stages were generated with Worldlaps and driven in the game.
| Stage | Terrain | Area | Track |
|---|---|---|---|
| CV-310, Serra (Valencia, Spain) | Mountain road through pine forest | 1.3 km² | 184 MB, in 1 min 48 s |
| Climb to the Larri waterfall (Huesca, Spain) | Pyrenees, with a gravel section at the top | 9.7 km² | 299 MB |
| Valdelinares (Teruel, Spain) | Straights and bends across a high plateau | 31.7 km² | 1.4 GB |

Length, size and generation time
A stage on the map is more than the road itself: the stage also has the terrain, vegetation and buildings on either side, so there is scenery out of the window. That is why size is given as an area. A 1.3 km² mountain stage takes 184 MB and was generated in 1 minute 48 seconds on the author's PC.
For long stages that would make a huge map (more than 40 km²), the app warns you before starting and offers to generate only a corridor along the route, 500 m on each side by default. All the detail is where you drive, and the horizon is still there, with no gaps.
The free version generates up to 1 km², enough for a short stage like the CV-310. The full version has no area limit.
Where it looks best
In Spain, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, New Zealand and the US the terrain and the aerial imagery are official, and England, Norway and Canada have official terrain, so every crest and every bend sit exactly where they are. Elsewhere the terrain is satellite-based: the layout is faithful, with softer detail. See the country-by-country data table.

Running it with friends
The stage is an ordinary Assetto Corsa track, a folder in content/tracks. It works in the stock launcher, in Content Manager and on a server, as long as every driver has the same folder. To share it, keep the open-data attributions that ship inside it and leave the default free (CC0) parked cars.

The photos above are pictures of the generated tracks. These are plain Assetto Corsa screenshots of generated mountain roads, chase cam and the game’s Mustang: the bends, arrows and guard rail you read at stage pace.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work with Assetto Corsa Rally?
No. Assetto Corsa Rally is a different game. Worldlaps stages are tracks for the original 2014 Assetto Corsa (they install into content/tracks) and you run them with any rally car you have in that game, Kunos or modded.
Does it work with modded rally cars?
Yes. The stage is an ordinary Assetto Corsa track, so any car you have installed works, from Kunos or from the community.
Does it have an AI line?
Yes. The route's fast_lane.ai is generated, along with the TV cameras and the start position.
Can I make a gravel stage?
Yes, if the track is in OpenStreetMap. Unpaved roads come out as gravel tracks, with ruts and their own physics.
How long can a stage be?
The free version generates maps up to 1 km². The full version has no limit; for very long stages, the corridor option generates only a strip along the route.
